Well known film director and Actor P.N. Sathya has now agreed to be part of the Kanwarlal team for which shooting is now taking place.  Sudeep is directing this film which is being produced by Shankare Gowda, the producer of the film Just Maath Maathnalli.

It is too well known in the film industry  that  both these actor-directors Sudeep  and P.N. Sathya share a great bond of  friendship between them  and the actor even refused to work in K.C.N. Kumar's  remake version of Kick only because he did not want  Sathya to be changed as a director.
With Sathya assisting Sudeep for Kanwarlaal which is turning out to be a big mega project, there were also some unsavorily developments.  It is rumored that Sathya's entry into the project had unsettled former director and trouble shooter Suresh Raj who was assisting Sudeep from the day Sudeep decided to turn into a film director.  Suresh Raj did not succeed as a film director and after joining Sudeep  he used to  fix up locations, artists and even doubled up as a manager fixing up his call sheets and remuneration.  It is also said that recently some differences had developed between the Sudeep and Suresh Raj because of some financial misconduct by the later.
It is also rumoured that Sudeep had slapped one of Suresh's assistants Santhosh on the sets of  Kanwarlal  which has further escalated  the tensions between the actor and his former aide.
